I was born in Cootamundra in 1939 and have been researching WW1 military service by those associated with the town. It was fascinating to read of Ena Marion Bond (later Windrim) and her war service. I know Noreen and the Conkey family and had no idea such a gem was buried in their family history. Cootamundra needs to know about this, perhapsvia the ‘Cootamundra Herald’?
