- Norman Osborn Herbert Gall enlists. Norman is commemorated on the Centenary of WWI in Orange Honour Roll; he would be killed in action in France on 15 November 1916.
- Weather conditions in the Dardanelles deteriorate, making it impossible for seaplanes to spot mines, or minesweepers to clear the channel. The Allied fleet is at a standstill.
