  • Romania signs a peace treaty with the Central Powers: The Treaty of Bucharest. Dobrudja is ceded to Bulgaria and the Carpathian passes handed over to Austria-Hungary and Germany receives a 90-year lease of Romania’s oil fields. The treaty would be nullified following the surrender of the Central Powers in November 1918.
