- Minister for Defence, Senator George Pearce, announces that AIF headquarters in London has approved the wearing of the letter “A” by those who served at Gallipoli. The ANZAC Symbol
- Millthorpe soldier Robert Sanday dies of neuritis in Prince Alfred Hospital, Randwick. Robert was invalided home from the war six months ago suffering from shell shock, and never really recovered. Death
- The Leader anticipates that the upcoming Orange Soldiers’ Day on Friday will be “a bumper success”. The public is invited to donate food, which will be sold to raise money to purchase soldiers’ comforts. The Soldiers’ Friday
