  • German soldiers from Cameroon are interned in Spanish (Equatorial) Guinea. Equatorial Guinea and the German Schutztruppe during WWI
  • The German raider SMS Moewe scuttles British cargo ship SS Flamenco in the Atlantic Ocean 310 nautical miles (570 km) north east of Pernambuco, Brazil. One crew member is lost. The Flamenco was bound for Valparaiso, Chile, with a cargo of 4,000 tons of coal.
