  • French forces secure trenches south-west of Mort Homme in the Battle of Verdun
  • British forces occupy Neu Langenburg in German East Africa
  • Austrian forces capture armoured works at Casaratta and take Monte Moschicce by storm in northern Italy. They have captured 284 guns since the beginning of the Trentino ottensive.
