It should be your duty to see that the brothers of other girls get into khaki; this is a really more important duty than knitting socks and arranging for all those other comforts you regularly despatch to your brothers at the front…

You can help recruiting by turning the cold shoulder on unmarried eligibles. They don’t deserve your smiles, they don’t deserve pleasant evenings in your cosy drawing-room or, afternoons on your tennis courts. They may invite you out in the motor launch or the car, but until they have done their bit, cut them out…

Every sister of a soldier should make it her business to see that she sends at least one man into military training, for by so doing she is helping her country.
