  • The Leader publishes the 336th and 337th casualty lists; Alwyn Joseph Crook of Byng Street is reported to have been wounded by gas; Frederick Peppernell of Kerr’s Creek has been reported as missing in action. [Peppernell was later declared to have been killed in the Battle of Messines, one of nine men from the Orange district to die in that battle]
  • The Mayor of Orange announces that more than £820 has been donated so far for the widows and orphans of France. France’s Day Fund
