- Herbert (‘Rocky’) Rockliff, Deputy Town Clerk of Orange, enlists alongside his best mate Bernard (‘Bun’) Kelaher. Both men are commemorated on the Centenary of WWI in Orange Honour Roll; Rocky would be killed in action in France on 27 July 1916, Bun was accidently killed two months later, on 26 September 1916.
