  • 18 year old Roy Luke Cantrill is killed in action in France
  • Victor Turnbull enlists. Victor is commemorated on the Centenary of WWI in Orange Honour Roll; he would be killed in action in Palestine on 7 May 1918
  • Ada Gall of Clinton Street, Orange, receives letters of sympathy following the death of her son, Norman, killed in action in France in November 1916.
